Remove solicitations and newspapers from the entryway.

Check that the water is turned off to the unit (in the utility closet).

Check that the power to the hot water tank is turned off.

Check that the air conditioner is on, operating properly and that there are no leaks at the condenser unit or on the floor, behind the filter of the cold air return space. The temperature setting should not exceed 80 degrees and the humidistat should be set to 55% or less. Check for low battery signal on the thermostat.

Check for water leaks or damage throughout the condo, including around the windows, doors, utility closet, lanai closet, floors and the ceilings.

Check for evidence of mold or mildew.

Check refrigerators/freezers for proper operation (if left on) or mildew (if turned off).

Check for signs of rodents or insects.

Replace batteries on chirping smoke detectors.

Check that all lanai sliders are closed and locked.

Check the screening on the lanais for damage.

Check that all windows and doors are closed and locked.

Check the garage or storage units, for any water leaks and/or damage.
